TL;DR: In the US, Depop Shipping gives you a prepaid USPS label. Open the sold item in the Depop app or on depop.com, or use Depop’s email, and download the label. Print it on a home printer or a 4x6 thermal label printer, checking the print preview so the barcode isn’t shrunk or cut off. No printer? Show the QR code at a USPS location that offers Label Broker and they print it for free. Ship within 10 days. If you ship your own way, or sell from Canada, Depop doesn’t make a label, so you buy a tracked label yourself and add the tracking number to the order.

In This Guide
You sold something on Depop. Now you need the shipping label on the box, and the label is a PDF sitting in an app or an email. Printing it should take a minute, but a wrong paper setting can leave you with a tiny barcode, a label cut in half, or a trip to the post office for nothing.
This guide is for Depop sellers in the US and Canada who print their own labels at home, whether that’s on a regular printer, a 4×6 thermal label printer, or straight from a phone. It also covers what to do when you don’t have a printer at all.
You’ll find where Depop puts your label, how to print it cleanly on a 4×6 thermal printer, the free USPS QR code option, how to attach it, and how to print your own label when you ship your own way or sell from Canada. For costs and choosing a shipping method, see our Depop shipping guide. New to selling? Start with how to sell on Depop.
How Do Depop Shipping Labels Work?
In the US, Depop Shipping creates a prepaid, tracked USPS label when your item sells, and you print it or use its QR code. If your shipping is set to your own method, or you sell from Canada, Depop doesn’t make a label. You buy a tracked label yourself and add the tracking number to the order.

You choose the method when you list. With Depop Shipping, the parcel size you pick sets the label price, and the label can only be used for that order. Tracking updates on its own, so you don’t need to mark the order as shipped. Depop’s US shipping guide explains both options.
| Depop Shipping (US) | Your own shipping (US) | Selling from Canada | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who makes the label | Depop, after the sale | You buy it | You buy it |
| Carrier | USPS | Any tracked service | Any tracked service |
| How you get it | Email, app, or depop.com, with a QR code | Carrier site or a shipping app | Carrier site or a shipping app |
| Tracking | Automatic | You add it and mark as shipped | You add it and mark as shipped |
| Depop seller protection | Yes, if shipped within 5 days | No | No |
| Printer needed | No, the QR code works at USPS | Usually | Usually |
Based on Depop’s Help Centre, checked October 2026. Depop Protection for US sellers covers sales up to $300, including shipping and tax.
Who Pays for a Depop Shipping Label?
The buyer pays the shipping price at checkout, unless you offer free shipping and cover it from your sale. Depop doesn’t pay for the label. Our Depop shipping cost breakdown goes into prices and fees.
How to Get Your Depop Shipping Label
Open the sold item in the Depop app or on depop.com and choose the shipping label option, or open Depop’s shipping email. You’ll see a QR code and a printable label for the same order.
On iPhone
- Open the Depop app and tap My Depop, then Sold.
- Select the item.
- Tap Ship your item now to see the QR code and printable label.
On Android
- Open the Depop app and tap Selling Hub.
- Scroll down and select Sold items.
- Select the item, then tap View shipping label.
On a Computer
- Go to depop.com and click your profile picture in the top right.
- Select Your selling hub, then Sold.
- Select the item. The QR code and printable label open in the panel on the right.
From Your Email
Depop also emails you the QR code and a downloadable label after the sale. That’s the quickest route on a laptop, since you can download the PDF and print it in one go.
If a print fails, open the label again from the same Sold screen and reprint it. Use it only on that order’s package.
How to Print a Depop Label on a 4×6 Thermal Printer
Download the label, open it in a PDF viewer, choose your thermal printer, and set the paper size to 4×6. Check the print preview before you print: the label should fill the page with a sharp, uncropped barcode.
Depop doesn’t publish the page size of its label PDF, and AI answers disagree on whether to print at actual size or scale to fit. The print preview settles it. Here’s what to look for:
| What the preview shows | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| One label filling a 4×6 page | The PDF is already label-sized | Print at 100% or actual size |
| A small label in the corner of a big page | The PDF is letter-sized | Crop the PDF to the label first, or print it on a regular printer |
| Label running off the edge | Paper size doesn’t match your labels | Set the paper size to 4×6 inches and check orientation |
| Barcode squashed or stretched | Scaling is distorting the label | Turn off fit or shrink options and preview again |
- Load direct thermal labels. Thermal printers use heat, not ink, so they need direct thermal label stock.
- Pick the right printer and size. Choose your thermal printer, then 4×6 inches, portrait.
- Preview, then print one. Check that the barcode and address are whole and crisp before you pack anything else.
- Peel and stick. A thermal label comes out ready to attach, with no cutting or taping.

Print a Depop Label From Your Phone
Your phone can send the label straight to a Wi-Fi label printer. Open the label from the Depop app or email, tap share or print, pick the printer, set the paper to 4×6, and check the preview. On an iPhone or iPad, an AirPrint printer appears in the print menu with nothing to install.
A USB-only printer needs a computer, so download the label on your laptop instead.
Print a Depop Label on a Regular Printer
A home inkjet or laser printer works fine. Print on plain paper, trim the label, and tape it flat on all edges so the barcode stays readable. Avoid taping over the barcode itself, and don’t fold the label around a corner.
Rollo Label Printers for Depop Sellers
The Rollo Wireless Label Printer prints a 4×6 Depop label in about a second over Wi-Fi, including from your phone. The Rollo USB Label Printer does the same from a Mac or Windows computer. Neither uses ink.
Both print any direct thermal label, from 4×6 shipping labels down to small 2×1 and round sticker labels, so the same printer handles packing slips and thank-you stickers. Rollo printers work with labels from Depop and other marketplaces, as well as from carrier sites and shipping apps.
| Rollo Wireless Label Printer | Rollo USB Label Printer | |
|---|---|---|
| Connection | Wi-Fi, with a USB cable as backup | USB |
| Print from your phone | Yes (iPhone, iPad, Android) | No |

| Speed | About one 4×6 label per second | About one label per second |
| Resolution | 203 dpi | 203 dpi |

No Printer? Use the Depop QR Code at USPS
Yes, USPS will print your Depop label. Show the QR code from Depop at a Post Office location with Label Broker, at the counter or a self-service kiosk, and USPS prints the label for free.
- Pack and seal your parcel at home.
- Save the QR code from the Depop app or email on your phone.
- Take the parcel to a Post Office location that supports Label Broker.
- Scan or show the QR code. USPS prints the label and takes the parcel.
Not every location offers Label Broker, so check first with the USPS Label Broker location finder. The QR code only works for Depop Shipping orders in the US.
How to Attach and Ship Your Depop Label
Stick the label flat on the largest side of the parcel, away from seams, and cover or remove any old labels and barcodes. Then drop it at USPS or schedule a pickup within 10 days of the sale.
- Cover old markings. Depop asks you to remove or cover old shipping labels, barcodes, and hazmat stickers. USPS can delay, return, or charge a hazmat fee on a mislabeled parcel.
- Keep the barcode flat. Don’t wrap it over an edge or a seam.
- Tape around, not over. If you add tape, keep it off the barcode to avoid glare.
- Ship fast. Orders not shipped within 10 days are cancelled and refunded. Most sellers ship within 2 days, and seller protection needs shipment within 5.
- Bundles get one label. If every item uses Depop Shipping, Depop sends one label sized for the combined weight.

Printing Your Own Label When You Ship Your Own Way (US and Canada)
If your listing uses your own shipping, or you sell from Canada, buy a tracked label from a carrier or a shipping app, print it on the same 4×6 printer, and enter the tracking number on the Depop order within 10 days.
Depop’s worldwide shipping guide says sellers outside the US and UK ship with their preferred method, so this is how every Canadian Depop seller ships. Depop also doesn’t let you edit tracking once it’s added, so paste it carefully.

Rollo Ship is a free multi-carrier shipping app for US and Canadian sellers. You enter the buyer’s address from Depop, compare carriers on the same parcel, and print the label to your 4×6 printer:
- Copy the buyer’s name and address from the Depop order.
- Enter the packed weight and size, then compare rates side by side.
- Buy the label and print it to your thermal printer.
- Paste the tracking number into the Depop order and mark it as shipped.
Here’s what you can ship with, by where you ship from:

Your first 200 labels are free, then 5¢ per label, dropping to as low as 1¢ with Rollo Rewards. Postage goes to the carrier at the rate you see, with no monthly fee. See every US carrier and service, or for Canadian shipments, Rollo Ship for Canada and its Canadian carriers.
One trade-off for US sellers: Depop’s seller protection only covers orders shipped on the Depop label. Your own label makes most sense for heavier, bulky, or international orders. Our Depop shipping guide compares the two.

Depop Label Printing Problems and Fixes
Most Depop printing problems come from a paper size or scaling setting that doesn’t match your labels, or from an order that was never set to Depop Shipping. The preview and the order’s shipping method usually show which one it is.
| Problem | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| No shipping label in the order | Shipping is set to your own method, or you sell from Canada | Buy a tracked label yourself and add the tracking number |
| Label prints tiny | A letter-size PDF scaled down to 4×6 | Crop the PDF to the label, or print on a regular printer |
| Label cut off | Paper size or orientation is wrong | Set 4×6 inches, portrait, and preview again |
| Blank label between prints | The printer lost track of the label gap | Run the printer’s label calibration |
| Faint or blank print | Labels aren’t direct thermal, or are loaded upside down | Load direct thermal labels with the print side up |
| Printer missing on your phone | Phone and printer are on different networks, or the printer is USB-only | Join the same Wi-Fi, or print from a computer |

Final Words
Printing a Depop label comes down to three moves: find the label on the sold order, check the preview, and print it at the right size. If you don’t have a printer, the USPS QR code does the job for free.
A 4×6 thermal printer turns that into a few seconds per order, from your laptop or your phone. When you ship your own way, or sell from Canada, the same printer handles labels you buy yourself.
When you’re ready, price your next parcel across carriers and print the label in seconds.
Print the label. Ship the order.

Who This Guide Is Not For
This guide covers printing Depop labels for sellers in the US and Canada. It won’t fit every situation.
- UK and Australian sellers. Depop Shipping works differently there, with different carriers.
- Buyers. If you’re waiting on a Depop order, track it from your purchase in the app.
- High-volume shops. If you ship hundreds of orders a week across several marketplaces, you’ll want batch printing and store connections, not one label at a time.
- Sellers choosing between shipping methods. See our Depop shipping guide for costs and fees.

Frequently Asked Questions About Printing Depop Shipping Labels
Can I print my own Depop shipping label?
Yes. If you use Depop Shipping in the US, download the prepaid USPS label from the sold item or Depop’s email and print it on any printer. If you ship your own way, or sell from Canada, you buy and print your own tracked label instead.
Do you need a shipping label printer for Depop?
No. A regular home printer works, and US sellers using Depop Shipping can skip printing entirely by showing the QR code at a USPS Label Broker location. A 4×6 thermal label printer just makes it faster, with peel-and-stick labels and no ink.
Will USPS print my Depop shipping label?
Yes. Show the QR code from the Depop app or email at a Post Office location that offers Label Broker, at the counter or a self-service kiosk, and USPS prints the label for free. Check the USPS location finder first, since not every location offers it.
Can I print a Depop label on a 4×6 thermal printer?
Yes. Download the label, choose your thermal printer, set the paper size to 4×6 inches, and check the print preview. If the label fills the page, print at actual size. If it sits small on a letter-size page, crop the PDF to the label first.
How do I print a Depop shipping label from my phone?
Open the label from the Depop app or email, tap share or print, and choose a Wi-Fi label printer on the same network. Set the paper to 4×6 and check the preview. A USB-only printer needs a computer.
Why won’t Depop give me a shipping label?
Depop Shipping labels are only offered in some countries, including the US. If your listing’s shipping is set to your own method, or you sell from Canada or another country, there’s no Depop label. Buy a tracked label yourself and add the tracking number to the order.
Do I have to use the Depop shipping label?
If you chose Depop Shipping, yes. Depop says shipping any other way removes your seller protection and the order may be cancelled and refunded. If you want to use your own label, set your own shipping method when you list.
Can I ship on Depop without a shipping label from Depop?
Yes, with your own shipping method. You must use a tracked service, add the tracking number to the order, and mark it as shipped within 10 days. You can’t edit the tracking number after you add it.
Does Depop give free shipping labels?
The Depop label is prepaid, but it isn’t free. The buyer pays the shipping price at checkout, unless you offer free shipping and cover the cost from your sale.
Can I reprint a Depop shipping label?
Yes. Open the label again from the sold item in the app or on depop.com and print it again. Use it only on that order’s package.
How long do I have to ship a Depop order?
Ten days. Depop cancels orders that aren’t shipped within 10 days and refunds the buyer. To keep Depop’s seller protection, ship on the Depop label within 5 days.
How do I print Depop shipping labels in Canada?
Depop doesn’t create labels for Canadian sellers. Buy a tracked label from Canada Post or another carrier, or through a shipping app, print it on your printer, then add the tracking number to the Depop order.
